Since we offer holiday apartments, the topic of food is naturally important.
Thankfully, Görlitz – especially the Old Town – has many dining options that change often and usually come with a charming atmosphere.
Please note: our recommendations are not exhaustive. We’re still discovering new places ourselves, especially as many small start-ups keep popping up.
Groceries
- Bakery:
Right inside the building you'll find the bakery Wittig, which also has a café offering breakfast and small lunch dishes. Also recommended is Bäckerei Schwerdtner in Steinstraße 12 (between Obermarkt and Marienplatz) for high-quality baked goods.
0m - Late-night shop:
At Elisabethstraße 4, a small shop offers a wide selection of Turkish delicacies in the setting of a charming Wilhelminian-era store.
240m - Butcher:
For quality meat and a beautifully tiled Art Nouveau interior, we recommend Fleischerei Büchner on Bismarckstraße 3. Other quality butchers can be found at Obermarkt 10 and Demianiplatz.

Modern shops and several discount grocery stores are available here.
